Trevor Ronald Brown Academic Director cum Principal

GIS Principle

I am truly honored and feel privileged to be the Director Cum Principal of this elite school” Golden International School” Indore.

Our focus at GIS shall be; “Emphasis on building strong foundational Basics” Establishing strong foundational basics is the key when it comes to early childhood development. Promote liberal thinking; Critical thinking is inculcated at the primary level that broadens the knowledge horizons of the students. Students are encouraged to be more individualistic with a global perspective of education and community. Additionally, students are expected to take an active role in designing their own learning activities. We believe in developing cooperative skills over competitive ones. Our students learn to work together and support each other in order to succeed, Students are expected to work collaboratively in teams on projects, and there is a substantial focus on projects that cut across the traditional subjects or disciplinary lines.

We offer many opportunities to our students in the form of music, art, clubs, games, and sports. We strive to give our students support to get involved and feel that GIS is their 2nd home. Our parents and their families are equally engaged and committed to supporting the school’s goals and objectives together.

We want all our students to achieve their full potential. Our task is to make it possible and our mission is to provide a platform for the same.

Success for all students is ensured at our school by the delivery of an enriching, child-centered, balanced, and structured curriculum and a whole school focus on student welfare that focuses on the positive recognition of student achievements. Teachers at GIS are highly qualified and experienced educators who are committed to supporting each student’s learning experience through quality instruction and guidance that addresses the needs of the individual child. Teachers work to provide students with differentiated support that addresses each student’s specific needs both academically and socially.

I, personally believe that an education system that develops the imagination of the child is richer than the one that does not. The imagination is where new ideas are created and progress becomes possible. “Imagination is more important than knowledge” because knowledge is about what we already know, whereas imagination is what moves individuals and cultures forward. Imagination leads to innovation. GIS will surely give much importance to imaginative and play way methods, especially in Kindergarten.

GIS  gives high priority to our Student’s safety. School also initiates activities that actively promote a safe and healthy lifestyle and contribute effectively to the sustainability and conservation of our environment.

We firmly believe that the parents are their child’s first and most important teachers and shall always be their lifelong teachers.. Parents play a vital role in the education of their children. We happily welcome all our parents to take an active role in the education of their children and become an engaged active participant in our school life. We always strive to build strong parent-teacher relationships which is very important for the academic success of our students.

I would like the parents to know that my door is always open to discuss any concerns, questions, or ideas you may have regarding your child’s education. I welcome you all to an outstanding learning community where everyone is dedicated to a high standard of excellence.

We truly have a fantastic school with a supportive and involved parent community, dedicated and highly skillful staff, excellent resources and buildings, and excellent students. We are very sure that with the help of all the stakeholders and with their continuous support, we will be able to take our school to the next highest level of excellence. At our end, we shall continue working with you for the best interests of our beloved students and our community at large.

My commitment to our community is to lead the school with enthusiasm and passion to enable us to reach our goals. Let us work together to make GIS the best school, it can be. We look forward to you being part of our vibrant learning community.

“ They cannot stop me. I will get my education if it is in the home, school, or anyplace”

  • Cooperative Over Competitive

In line with The Finnish Education system, we believe in developing cooperative skills instead of competitive ones. Our students learn to work together and support each other in order to succeed. Students are expected to work collaboratively in teams on projects, and there is a substantial focus on projects that cut across the traditional subject or disciplinary lines.

  • No Standard Testing

Much like Finnish schools, the Origami Concept school offers a unique learning experience where students are not tested on grades. There are no standard testing procedures for students, and students are graded based on the teachers’ observations of their work and progress. This allows for a more individualized approach to learning and ensures that each student can learn at their own pace.

  • Emphasis on Equity over Excellence

This is a school with an emphasis on Equity over Excellence. A school where everyone gets a fair and equal opportunity to study and learn better.

  • Emphasis on building Strong Foundational Basics

The Finnish Education system states that establishing strong foundational basics is key when it comes to early childhood development. It is for this reason that we ensure our children learn the basics of everything they do.

  • Individual Attention and Support for Each Student

Similar to Finnish schools, Origami’s educational system is designed to provide personalized learning, individual attention and support for each student. We believe that every child’s doubts and queries deserve to be attended to with care, so they can explore their potential to the fullest. We also have a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:10 to further enable individual attention and care.

  • Promotes Liberal Thinking

Inculcating liberal thinking at the primary level develops critical thinking ability and broadens the knowledge horizons of the students. Students are encouraged to be more individualistic with a global perspective of education and community. Additionally, students are expected to take an active role in designing their own learning activities.
