Mr. A. S. Ansari
Dean of Literary and Cultural Affairs

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire that continues to burn throughout one’s life, unbounded by years or confines.” It is with spirit in mind that, I have joined the Golden International School, Indore in the capacity of Dean of Literary and Cultural Affairs. Even after nearly four decades of continuous service to education, a thirst to contribute more to the world of guidance remained within me. So, when the opportunity arose to dedicate some more time to the children, I embraced it with joy. I pray to God that my efforts may serve this institution well!

Before joining this upcoming school, in the present capacity, I had served Daly College, Indore, for more than 39 years, primarily as a senior teacher of English, including 19 years as the Head of the Department. My work in that illustrious and legacy school also involved significant administrative responsibilities, including positions with the most important portfolios.

In addition to my teaching duties, I had been actively involved in the previous school’s extracurricular activities. I served as Housemaster of a boarding house for 16 years, managed the school library and Electronic Library, and led the school’s debating, creative writing, and dramatics programs. For 15 years, I was the Editor-in-chief of the school magazine.

I also took on roles as Director and later Dean of Cultural and Co-curricular Activities, during which I organized the All India Inter Public School Cultural Festivals. My involvement in sports included being the Cricket Incharge for several years and serving as a sports fixtures commentator, and I had also participated in and compered various programs on diverse topics.

My international experiences include travel to the USA, UK, Australia, Italy, and the UAE, with participation in international exchanges, festivals and conferences in Canada, Bulgaria, and Romania. I have served as the Vice Principal for seven years where I have delved into the entire functioning of the school, and my contributions to education have been recognized with the Outstanding Educators Award from the University of Chicago.

I look at the new assignment with renewed enthusiasm and vigour.”
