Report on Educational Visit to Parle -G Factory

Educational trips are always an integral part of the curriculum in Golden International School, such trips provide opportunities for experiential learning to the students. On October 17, 2023, one hundred eighty five enthusiastic students of class 1 and 2 escorted by nine teachers visited Parle -G Factory .The fragrant aroma of their favourite cookies welcomed them all as they reached the venue.Parle Products is India’s largest manufacturer of biscuits and confectionary for the past eighty five years. The name symbolizes nutrition,quality and good taste.

In the initial segment of the visit ,the students witnessed an animated documentary which demonstrated the entire process of making the biscuits-right from assembling all the ingredients till the final packaging of the finished product. A short video about the growth of the Parle Company from 1929 till today was featured. The video also explained the manufacturing of different Parle confectioneries and snacks such as ‘Hide and Seek’ biscuits, ‘Mango Bite’ candy, ‘Melody’  ‘Yummitos’and many others as well.

They were then taken inside the factory to have a view of various stages of production of candies and toffees such as mixing, moulding and packaging the final product.The students were delighted to see how candies, toffees and their favourite biscuits are made and at the same time, realized the importance of how one vision can make such  a huge difference to the world.Thiswill motivate them to work harder than before to achieve the goals in life.It was an informative, enjoyable and a great learning experience for the students.The visit culminated with the distribution of Parle G biscuits  to the students and teachers as a goodwill gesture by the company.

The combination of learning while having fun was a great experience and was conducted under the guidance of( director )Mr.Gopal Agarwal and ( academic head) Mr. Trevor Brown for the students. The field trip was an overall success with the students’ enthusiastic response.
